Finally my beautiful wool fabric came. It really is absolutely wonderful. Not itchy, nice drape, NO odour. Here is a photo to remind you.
I am now a few weeks behind in the RTW Tailoring Sewalong. I have been following along and BOY is it ever technical. It just may be too advanced for me anyways. Despite the torrential downpours here and the 'cold' weather my mind is turning to spring sewing. I might just save the sewing of my wool coats for when the mood hits in the autumn.
It hasn't been all rain. Friday was sunny (but the wind was cold). It reminds me of spring in YK. Toasty in the shelter from the wind but chilly in the wind. I took the entire afternoon to zip around town doing several errands in my dutch bike. Here is a photo to refresh your memory:
I didn't take the dogs, I needed the room for stuff. It was an absolutely wonderful afternoon. Being in the outdoors and active really is good for my mental health.

Yay! Your fabric looks beautiful. I'm sure your creation will be glorious! (whenever you choose to sew it)
ReplyDeleteThe bike and idea of riding about town doing 'errands' looks so enticing! I hope you choose that option as much as your life will allow. I know you've been working 'overtime' with the kiddies--wish I was there to share the load. Lots of love for the hard times....

It's technical, but relatively easy to follow. If I wasn't working as I read, I would have been utterly confused.
ReplyDeletePretty pretty fabric.
