Recently my dad returned to his home from a trip to Calgary. His mother and sisters live there. It is a two day drive from where he lives to Calgary and a four day drive from his house to ours. While he was there, he took the time to get his woman committee (mom & sisters) to pick out a sweater for me at The Bay. I am not exactly sure how it all went down but I am pretty sure there was a lot of fuss and excitement as pretty much everything is fussy and exciting with my Grandma and Aunties.
He sent me the sweater, Christmas gift wrapped in the mail. Here is the results....
I REALLY REALLY like my new sweater. If I saw it on you and you were walking past me, I would try to rip it off your body and run. Most likely you could not catch me because I am a sprinter. I am sorry if I just hurt your feelings but that is just how it is.
It is 100% cotton cozy in my favourite colours. He inclosed the gift receipt in case I didn't like it or it didn't fit but I used the receipt to start a small fire the second I saw the sweater. This sweater will live out the rest of it's life in my house as a cherished member.
Thanks for my new sweater dad. Its perfect!

I really, really love your new sweater.. and if I passed you on the street, I would try to take it and run with it.[But I have no air...so I am sure, you would get it back.hahahhaha].
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful.. Enjoy..
I would not steal it from you, but now I'm getting crazy ideas of recreating it...
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I dearly wish I could knit. I really do. I think I would be a knitting fool. I think, after cotton clothing, knit items are my very favourite things. Right now I am so inspired and in awe of Tasha at http://blog.bygumbygolly.com/ She knits the most drool worth, amazing sweaters out there.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as I had envisioned on you...beautiful! I'd say even better, but I had previous knowledge of your gorgeousity, so.....Love your pic, too. Who snapped it for you?
ReplyDeleteXO. K
P.S. I like knitting, too. Wait for us to be closer and we'll take it up together! Then you won't have such a head-start on me! (As with the sewing ;-)
You look so good here
